Too many Christians want to listen to what the world and society tell them what they should be or what they shouldn't be. It's easy that way isn't it? Don't put out any effort, don't think; afterall we might lose out on some fun or worse yet, we might have to stand up for our beliefs.
Too many times I have heard the reason from Christian women as to why they marry non-Christian men; the issue is that they cannot find a Christian male who acts like a man.
Where did this come from? Jesus Christ was a man! It is time for all Christian males to become men again. Get rid of the world's idea of what you are supposed to be, this is from Satan, men were created to be men. Think about this, We all know Jesus was a carpenter; what did it take for a man to be a carpenter in His day?
Hard work, that is what it took. Trees had to be cut down by hand, branches cut off by hand, the bark was stripped with hand tools, the wood was shaped with the hands. The hands were strong, they were not limp wristed. Jesus was a strong man. You don't think that Jesus ever became angry and used His physical power to right a wrong? Then read this scripture;
Jhn 2:13 The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Jhn 2:14 And He found in the temple those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers seated {at their tables.}
Jhn 2:15 And He made a scourge of cords, and drove {them} all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables;
Jhn 2:16 and to those who were selling the doves He said, "Take these things away; stop making My Father's house a place of business."
Jhn 2:17 His disciples remembered that it was written, "ZEAL FOR YOUR HOUSE WILL CONSUME ME."
There is something else we can learn from the scriptures and about being men and about self-defense and defending our neighbor, do you know what it is? Read the scripture from the book of the law handed down from God the Father to Moses;
Lev. 19:15 You shall not act dishonestly in rendering judgement. Show neither partiality to the weak nor deference to the mighty, but judge your fellow men justly.
Lev. 19:16 You shall not go about spreading slander among your kinsmen; nor shall you stand by idly when your neighbors life is at stake. I am the Lord.
Lev. 19:17 You shall not bear hatred for your brother in your heart. Though you may have to reprove your fellow man, do not incur sin because of him. Take no revenge and cherish no grudge against your fellow countrymen. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
Be clear about this; defend those who need defending, do not go out after the fact and take revenge. That is what the court system is for.
